Welcome to PTs on Mission! |
My name is Jason Baareman and I am a Physical Therapist. I am thrilled that you clicked on this link and joined me in this conversation! This website all started with an idea and a conversation with my wife while driving to a beach vacation with my family. Because what better way to flesh out ideas than on a 7 hour car journey while the kids are zoned out watching Disney movies in the back! Thankfully and humbly this idea is taking shape.
What was that idea? The idea was to create an online space for physical therapists to grow professionally and spiritually. This includes providing information and resources to help in your practice. It also includes resources and discussions to equip you to share the good news of Jesus while you work in your clinic and on international medical mission trips. Another part of the idea was to not only share content with you but also hear back from you. You have experiences and ideas related to your faith walk and professional life in the clinic that may also benefit others. In the days and weeks ahead you will be able to share via "Letters to the Editor." Maybe you stumbled upon this blog as a different rehabilitation provider or an alternate healthcare provider altogether. Great! I am glad you joined the conversation and I hope you stay involved. I think much of the content will be beneficial to you, your practice, and your personal Christ-centered service endeavors as well. In other words, while much of the content will revolve around physical therapy, I don't think you will feel left out. You might even learn something new! PTs on Mission will be a journey. A journey of discovery, of growth, of challenge, and of collaboration. I would like to invite you to join me on this journey as we use our physical therapy skills to help our patients physically as we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would also like to invite you to share this blog with your friends and colleagues to help spread the word! Jason |
